Basic Personality: Marluxia is usually in a state of perpetual annoyance and stress. This is the result of both nature and nurture.
A self-centered man, Marluxia tends to view those around him as incompetent and hopeless, like he's being smothered by people he would rather not be around. It is the core of his personality, a person who lives only for himself. Or so the case usually is. If anyone, no matter how unlikely, manages to win his favor, he'll usually end up being much nicer to them and willing to help them, though it won't be guaranteed that he'd be happy about it.
The second reason for his grouchy and somewhat miserable personality is a conscious decision to bury any feelings of affection he might have. Of course, the key word here is "bury." Such feelings can't die and can be dug up if the person seeking them digs deep enough.
On an unrelated note, he has a huge weakness for cats.
Background: Marluxia appeared in Neisenma without any memories whatsoever. He made an effort to try to integrate himself into the community and found himself within the field of architecture, a decent job to have in an urban area. Because he has only been in Neisenma for a relatively short amount of time, he is still searching for a place in this world.
